Michelle

Michelle - Registered Veterinary Technician and Supervisor

Staff member at Cedar Veterinary Hospital since 1991, Michelle is a registered veterinary technician born and raised here in Fresno. A graduate of Hoover High School, she received her Degree in Veterinary Technology from San Joaquin Valley College in 1991. Michelle describes Cedar Veterinary Hospital as her second home and the staff as her second family. An aspect of her work she most appreciates is the bond often formed between staff members, the owners and their pets.

Outside of the hospital, Michelle can be found unwinding by working in her garden or spending time with her various pets. She has two English Bulldogs, Jack and Jill, as well as three domestic short hair cats, Simon, Baby Girl and Blossom. When she gets the chance, Michelle also enjoys taking road trips.

Joyce

Joyce - Registered Veterinary Technician

Joyce hails from Oxnard in Southern California. A veterinary assistant, she came to Cedar Veterinary Hospital in early 2004 after working for Bristol Animal Hospital for eight years. Joyce graduated from San Joaquin Valley College with an Associates Degree in Veterinary Technology in 2005. Presently, she spends most of her time as a surgical technician and hopes to become fully certified by the state of California in the near future. Joyce loves working at Cedar Veterinary Hospital because the hospital provides compassionate care which allows her to continually broaden her knowledge and skills.

Married to Daniel, the couple have a daughter named Harmanii. In her free time Joyce is mother to two cats, Sabbath (aka Sabby) and Max and a 1 year old gray cheeked Conjur. She also enjoys playing volleyball with her church on Sundays and swimming with her family.

Simitria

Simitria - Veterinary Assistant and Supervisor

Veterinary assistant supervisor, Simitria joined Cedar Veterinary Hospital in 2000 and is a California native hailing from Madera. She holds an Associate's Degree in Animal Science which she received in 2000 from San Joaquin Valley College. Simitria most enjoys working at the hospital because she appreciates how the staff works together as a team to best help the animals.

As much an animal lover at home as she is at work, Simitria lives with three Chihuahuas (Lady, Hannah and Baby) and a pit bull named Diamond. When she's not working, she solves puzzles, word searches for fun and watches movies.

Tiffany

Tiffany - Veterinary Assistant

Since the summer of 2003, Tiffany has worked as a veterinary assistant at Cedar Veterinary Hospital. A Clovis High School graduate, she is originally from the area and prior to her position at the hospital, she worked at Alta Animal Hospital and attended the Extended Learning Center in Clovis. Currently, she is enrolled at Fresno State College where she is completing pre-veterinary courses. Tiffany says she likes working at Cedar Veterinary hospital because it's a fun environment staffed by people who put a lot of care into their animal patients.

Tiffany has a German shepherd, Taz and a Labrador, Remy. The dogs must share snuggle time with Roxie the cat. Tiffany's free time is spent four-wheeling, camping, exercising, watching movies and teaching her pets tricks.

Brittney

Brittney - Doctor's Assistant

Brittney started her career at Cedar Veterinary Hospital as a volunteer while attending Buchanan High School. She later became a doctor's assistant and has been a full-time member of the hospital staff since 2003. Currently an Animal Science major at Fresno City College, she plans to transfer to the University of California at Davis to study veterinary science.

Brittney owns a Queensland heeler named Snert and a Calico cat named Cinnamon.

Denise

Denise - Registered Veterinary Technician

Denise is a Fresno native and has cared for pets as a registered veterinary technician since 2007.She attended San Joaquin Valley College and received her Associate's Degree in Animal Science in 2001. She loves working with the friendly staff and caring doctors at the hospital, as well as the clients and pets who come in every day. Denise shares her home with a number of pets, including five cats, nine dogs, two ferrets, a hamster and a rabbit. When she's not at the hospital or hanging out with her pets, she enjoys watching football and UFC fights, camping, riding ATVs and going to concerts.
