Kennel Attendants

Sherri - Kennel Attendant
Though Sherri has been the kennel attendant at Cedar veterinary Hospital since 1999, her professional animal care history began back in 1990. Previous to working at the hospital, the Bakersfield native was part of the staff at Mount Vernon Veterinary Hospital and Stiern Veterinary Hospital. She is a 1991 graduate of San Joaquin Valley College where she received her Degree in Animal Health Technology. Sherri says the best part of her job is being part of a great staff, and she considers it a privilege to give patients the comfort, respect and care they deserve.
Sherri hosts myriad pets in her home, ranging from cats to lizards and exotic birds. They include two parakeets, five finches, six African lovebirds, a northern mockingbird, a rainbow skink lizard, a Texas collared lizard and a dilute torti short-haired cat named Simbaface. Despite the large amount of time it takes to care for so many pets, Sherri has many non-animal-related hobbies such as gardening, bike riding, camping, hiking and reading.
